So far this Term the school has purchased some big new yellow bins for our soft plastics. We decided the bigger bins were needed to hold more soft plastics and to stop the plastic blowing out on windy days. We will continue to clean these so they can be recycled to help the environment.
The worm farms are now up and running. We have two worm farms loaded with worms to compost all the fruit scraps, reducing the waste sent to landfill. We have already used the worm juice to feed the plants in the school vegetable garden and we will continue to do this throughout the year.
We can now be recognised around the school as part of the Reef Guardian team. We were presented with a badge and hat on parade.
